i dont do blogs but here is this thing

so i spent twenty some dollars to build this case to help my eurorack boast for itself.

208hp of patchable picture-frame prowess.

here are a bunch of pictures in chronological order. feel free to not read anything.

the first 84hp case i crafted from old warped wood from an unused futon

used the same warped wood to build a wall mountable 6u case.

found this frame at a local secondhand store. cut to size. held together with liquid nails. this is after its sanding and first coat of black paint.

painted frame resting on unpainted case. also a dumb patch.

filled the 208hp. painted the case and added a second coat to the frame. bound together with gorilla glue.

i like the frame design. there are some nicks. if you look carefully at the seam between the frame and case, there are foamy parts where the gorilla glue expanded and i tried to pick, scrape, sand it off, and then paint over it.

modular synths from every manufacturer and every format are beautiful to me. the hobbyists and manufacturers alike are no different to me than brilliant artists, and i wanted to build a case that exhibited the beauty of individual modules serving as a mosaic of sound and noise.
